Would you let your dd get her eyelashes tinted?

My dd is 15 and will be going on a long trip with school next February to South America for nine days.My daughter is very fair and has almost translucent eyelashes, therefore she has asked me if I would let her get her eyelashes tinted, because during these nine days they will be doing an awful lot of water-based activities so mascara will just smudge. Would you let her?

Yep - it's not like she's having eyebrows tattooed on ! Totally practical and more to the point, if it's something she is self conscious about you are enabling her to forget about her appearance and just have fun, exercise and enjoy herself. That far outweighs any concerns about age appropriate make-up in my view.

Don't do it at home. Lash dye can cause serious abrasions.
Go to salon. Not anywhere that doesn't insist on a patch test. The patch test is vital.
If she wears contact lenses then make sure they aren't in and that she wears no eye makeup to the appt.
