anyone seen decent midi dresses under £20

keep looking but nothing really that I like. I just want a midi dress that is not bodycon, that has no silly pattern but is simple and sleek and I need short sleeves to hides my bingo wings. preferably cotton but I know I may have to opt for man-made flammable fibre with my budget.

Sorry I can't help but I'm going to watch this thread as I'm looking for exactly same thing!

whatamess0815 · 01/06/2016 18:41

frustrating, isn't it. just a simple plain midi dress with short sleeves. shops are full of frilly nonsense. sigh

Dorothy Perkins always do this sort of thing.

Any of these what you're thinking of?

whatamess0815 · 01/06/2016 19:28

sort off. but they have either silly patterns, have lace. I like the very plain ones but they all have a huge V Back and I am not gorgeous enough for something like that Grin not even sure I can wear a bra with those Confused

This might not be long enough, but it's lovely, cotton and a snip at £20

tethersend · 01/06/2016 19:57

bit over budget

whatamess0815 · 01/06/2016 20:03

thanks Tether, the first one is nice!

Is this considered a silly print? I like it Grin

Have you tried ASOS? Type in midi dresses and sort the results from lower priced first - they always have a few on sale

whatamess0815 · 01/06/2016 20:26

yes, but nothing really. either only small sizes left over and most of them are sleeveless or bodycon.....

whatamess0815 · 01/06/2016 20:29

lots of really skimpy stuff but nothing decent.

Thanks frazzled!

I've just ordered 3 dresses off DP after seeing your link. I'm currently 2.5 stone overweight after having my second child & need something pretty (but mainly concealing) to wear for his christening. Hopefully one of them will fit the bill.

I've been looking for ages and not seen anything so thanks!

whatamess0815 · 01/06/2016 20:33

amaye, 1st one is nice but whilst I am slim, I have hideous upper arms. I couldn't pull that off.

2nd is silly but I do like it somehow Shock

Boohoo, I got a grey midi dress off tgere for £8 but the sleaves are quite short. The quality is great though and they do loads of colours.

whatamess0815 · 02/06/2016 06:55

thanks keep, may give them a go. was worried about the V back.
