Best micellar water

Ok so some of us will have tried out a few different micellar waters. I have mainly been using garniers because it's cheap but I have also been using a sample of avenes which I prefer. I know Bioderma is really popular and started off the whole micellar water craze.

My question is which micellar water do you prefer and recommend and why, because mine is running out and if I'm going to pay £10 + then I want to know it's worth it

The botanics one is my absolute favourite. Doesn't irritate eyes, leaves skin soft, smooth and not dried out. Love, love, love it. And it's a bargain anyway but often on offer.

Wilkos £1

MrsSchadenfreude · 01/06/2016 16:07

Bioderma is fab.

BoboChic · 01/06/2016 16:08

Bioderma is the original and best :)

What's micellar water - S&B are always talking about it but I've no idea what it is!

mrsmortis · 01/06/2016 16:42

I've used Bioderma, Garnier, Simple and Lancome. I don't see a significant difference between them. The only think I will say is that I like the dispenser on the Bioderma which means none gets wasted.

Absolutelynothingelse · 01/06/2016 16:56

I'll try Bioderma first Smile

It's make-up remover, SmellyRose.

Bioderma is the best. It has a really good ph of 4.8-5.2 whereas cheaper micellars like garnier have a ph of 8-9. This could make a real difference to your skin condition especially if you are acne prone.

hollieberrie · 01/06/2016 18:53

I really love the L'Oréal one. Garnier big bottle is much better value for money but pah, didn't like it.

FrustratedFrugal · 01/06/2016 18:57

I adore Bioderma. My skin is tricky, it always works.

FrustratedFrugal · 01/06/2016 18:59

Oh, and whatever you do, don't buy Dr Jart micro water (rebranded micellar). It smells like vomit and the bottle exploded all over my toiletries after a long flight.

VenusRising · 01/06/2016 19:04

The la Roche posey one is a waste of money as it doesn't remove makeup.

I've just got a garnier one with an argan oil in it. Seems nice, and smells lovely.

I rinse with water after using any micellar water anyway. Does everyone else?

notamummy10 · 01/06/2016 19:06

I very rarely use Micellar Water but I like the Garnier one for the oily skin Smile

BoboChic · 01/06/2016 19:55

I always use Bioderma micellar water in the evening and never rinse. I do cleanse three or for times, however, until there are no traces at all on the cotton wool pad. I apply moisturizer straight on top.

notamummy10 · 01/06/2016 20:04

I only use micellar water for a pre-cleanse, I feel grubby if I just use micellar water!

JAB2012 · 01/06/2016 21:40

Bioderma is great. I also tried the Nivea one and it actually really suited my skin and is much cheaper!

mumsnit · 01/06/2016 22:33

I've tried most of the budget ones and like the Simple one best. Removes all my make up including mascara.
