I bought a maxi skirt from new look the other day which looked amazing but was nearly a foot too long for me!

Can I wear one being a shorty?

If so, where do i find one?

You can definitely wear a maxi: I have some short friends who wear them and look v elegant. I'm 5'8" so not sure where they shop for their skirts, but you could consider taking up the hems, either yourself if you are fairly competent with a sewing machine; or a clothes repair place. Means you are not restricted to the fewer places that do maxi skirts for shorter women, but have your pick!

Have you tried ASOS Petite?

5'4" isn't particularly petite, but I am tall and remember being amazed that a New Look maxi skirt was properly floor length on me! It was a sort of boho print cotton skirt with a stretchy waistband. If it's a similar style I reckon they just run long.
