Advice about my hair care routine please

For years I had very short, natural colour hair so I just used to wash with whatever cheap shampoo was on offer and that was that.
Now I have a chin-length coloured bob which I straighten nearly every day so I need to step up my hair care routine but not sure if I'm doing okay.

For information, I swim every weekday morning. I wear a cap but pool water still gets in.

I wash my hair every day with Dove shampoo. I then condition with Dove conditioner- comb the conditioner through an leave on for five minutes.

Every Sunday I do an Argan Oil deep hair mask which I leave on for about an hour. Or I'll put coconut oil on for a couple of hours.

Every Monday I use Kerastase Thermique heat protector which lasts five washes.

I feel like I should be doing more but I'm not sure what.

Any advice would be great! TIA

You do more than I do! I wash mine every 2-3 days and that's all

Wash = shampoo and conditioner btw

Boots do a range called 'Sun, swim, gym' which might be good if you swim a lot. I think they do a protective spray ,shampoo, conditioner and shampoo for coloured hair etc Chlorine in pools can be very drying.

I straighten mine most days but it's good to have a couple of days with no heat treatment.
I really like Elvive Extraordinary Oil before drying or as a pre shampoo treatment.

demented That makes me feel better Grin

ILost Thanks, I'll have a look in Boots. I've heard someone else say they like that extraordinary oil. I think I need to check it out. Is it very greasy?

Not greasy, really lightweight and you only need to use a tiny amount on damp hair before drying and straightening so a bottle lasts for ages. Also speeds up drying time and heat protects.
