Ugly or gorgeous?
Or a bit meh
I'm drawn to it because of the colours, and the shape, the neckline and the length.
Plus think it looks versatile and would work with black tights if cold, cold wear a jacket or a 50's cardi in pink.
Is it a yes or a no?

burnishedsilver · 30/05/2016 12:49

I vote yes :-)

burnishedsilver · 30/05/2016 12:50

That's yes to the dress, not yes it's ugly!

ThatsMyStapler · 30/05/2016 12:50

i dont know! (

whatiswrongwithyou · 30/05/2016 12:51

Wow! Amazing dress - definite yes!

freshprincess · 30/05/2016 12:52

I like the print and the colours but it doesn't look quite right on the model. It looks a bit cheap and doesn't like right around the waist

rightknockered · 30/05/2016 12:56

I think the black bit in the middle is slimming. If it was an all over print that large, it would be too much no?

OP posts:
MoggyP · 30/05/2016 12:57

I don't know if it's badly lit or if the fabric has an awkward sheen to it.

Also, I don't think the balance between the black bit and the floral is terribly good. And could easily fight jackets and cardigans.

It's very nearly lovely, but not for me.

Madbengalmum · 30/05/2016 13:04

It really doesnt suit the model

Trills · 30/05/2016 13:05

I don't like the large swathe of black in the middle of the floral.

I also don't like the pose and shape of the model.

SapphireStrange · 30/05/2016 13:09

I like it. Lovely!

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 30/05/2016 13:13

I love it!

Paulat2112 · 30/05/2016 13:14

No, it's not nice

OP posts:
twostepsister · 30/05/2016 13:46

Want ... it's gorgeous, I have a top and bag in a similar print

Queenbean · 30/05/2016 13:49

First one is nicer and is gorgeous!!

ElodieS · 30/05/2016 13:53

I vote the second one, really lovely and quite unusual without being ott.

SapphireStrange · 30/05/2016 13:53

I like them both but would go for the first one if it's either/or. Nicer shape, IMO.

rightknockered · 30/05/2016 14:26

I should have added this earlier. I'm a size 10 - 12, have olive skin and dark hair (which is dyed blue black at the moment) so black with brightish floral suits my colouring. I don't suit pastels, or the wishy washy pink nude shades around at the moment.
I need a dress for weddings this year, but want it to be a bit more versatile that that, and maybe for dinner, or going out too. Realise that is a stretch, but thought these would fit the purpose.

OP posts:
burnishedsilver · 30/05/2016 14:37

The middle section of the first dress looks navy on my screen. Is it black or navy?

rightknockered · 30/05/2016 14:39

It's black. I'm ordering from Asos on 20% off. I can always return it if it isn't right.

OP posts:
rightknockered · 30/05/2016 14:40

No I think it's navy

OP posts:
NashvilleQueen · 30/05/2016 14:40

Think the first one would be very flattering. Nice neckline and I like the fact that there's a bit of shoulder coverage (hate my arms). I like it.

MuttonCadet · 30/05/2016 14:44

Love them both, Ted Baker suits a slim silhouette lmo, you sound perfect for it.

rightknockered · 30/05/2016 14:44

Yes, I like the fact I can actually wear a proper bra with it. And it isn't too low cut at the front, plus will cover my dodgy knees

OP posts:
freshprincess · 30/05/2016 15:28

The second one is much nicer. Plus the bra issue would win for me.

Grrr, OP, now I've got the ASOS ad following me round showing me all the lovely Ted Baker dresses I need. 20% off you say?
