Wind proof fleece pram suit for 1 year old

Anyone know where I can get one of these? I thought Polarn O Pyret but it's the wrong time of year so there's nothing in their website, and someone told me they don't do the pram suit in that size anyway.

We're going to the Outer Hebrides in July and it'll be very windy! I could just get a fleece jacket but wonder if his legs will be cold if he's in a sling.

There are polar fleece ones in places but I think most important is the wind proof-ness as it won't necessarily be very cold.

Any ideas? Or ideas for some maybe fleece over trousers and I get the Polarn wind proof jacket?

Hmm the one that says wind proof in the description is £68. That might just be a wee bit over budget. It's lovely though!

Oh but sold out anyway. :(

JojoMaman do them all year round. Really good quality too.

We have a Next fleece lined snow suit (all in one) that would probably be perfect. They might have it online?

Decathlon might also have something suitable.

Have you looked on Polarn o Pyret in there 'outlet' section? It's semi hidden on there site but is basically sale/ out of season stuff

Muddy puddles and little Trekkers often have good stuff

This is fleece-lined, and with some of their merino under layers and their neck warmer, your wee one will be snug as a bug!

Artandco · 27/05/2016 10:03

Not bad for £20

Thanks everyone! A lot to look at when I'm back home. I'm now wondering if something very fleecey will be too hot. 😱

It can be very windy and drizzly but in July not too cold. That's what I've been fixated on 'must say wind proof!' So I'm now thinking a wind proof / waterproof puddle suit over the usual frugi snuggle suit we use now could be better. He does seem a rather hot baby already.

peacelove That Polarn overall looks great though - can separate the layers if it is warmer one day and will cover next winter when he's hopefully toddling about. Not sure if I can stretch to that much though.
Do you know what the sizes are like? DS will be almost 12 months when we go, they have a 1.5 years available. He is big - long and doesn't move yet so he's quite plump. He can grow into it as long as it isn't too big. Some eBay Polarn T's I have seem long in arms and body but tight on his tummy - could have shrank a bit though.

Thanks again!

Polarn is huge usually. As an Idea my tall 5 year old still fits in their 3-4 year old thermals

Tbh I would look at a baby 'bug in a rug' for your trip. It's basically a blanket with legs so can use in a sling or car seat or pram. I think snow suits are way too puffy for slings. When we ski when mine were babies they would wear a wool suit like above, then in a bug in a rug blanket for extra warmth. The bug thing is good as easy to open up or take off if warm

Only need waterproof suit really once walking.

PeaceLoveAndDiscoBiscuits · 27/05/2016 13:34

I don't have any of their outerwear suits, but my DS (who is enormous) had a lot of room in the 1-1.5 fleece suit I bought him last autumn when he was 10 months and wearing 12-18. He's now in 18-24 and could fit into it again. The sleeves roll up though. And honestly, the quality of PO.P clothes is sublime, though I know the cost seems horrendous. It will last forever.
