Going to a Younique party...

My SIL is having a party as a friend of hers has just joined Younique. I've said I'll go but looking on line it's pricier than I was expecting. I know it gets slated, but I've said I'll go and will no doubt feel obliged to buy something, so can anyone recommend any of their products??

Nooo dont go...can you not feign illness x

I love Younique makeup.
The liquid foundation and Powder foundation are great.
They also do a range of splurge cream eyeshadow that dry matt and are sparkly.

I'm with myuser. You need to be too ill to go, don't get sucked in as your SILs friend will hound you forever once you've bought one thing

AllPowerfulLizardPerson · 31/05/2016 10:35

No, I don't recommend any of them.

(You can buy brands such as Chanel or Dior for the same price).

Either cry off, or refuse to purchase at all, saying (over and over again) 'I'm sorry, this doesn't interest me". Anything less firm could see you hounded for repeat purchases for months.

Do yourself a favour and don't go. Then treat yourself to something lovely instead.

They count on you being too polite to say 'no thanks, this stuff is clearly rubbish'.

So say to them 'no thanks, this stuff is clearly rubbish'.

Wolfiefan · 31/05/2016 15:26

Don't go. You will get a repeat invite! It'll cost you shitloads!

mumof2xox · 31/05/2016 15:30

it's waaaaay overpriced for what it is!

Chewbecca · 31/05/2016 15:55

I wouldn't go and would be honest about my reasons why - I will not support these pyramid selling schemes. If you just make an excuse, you'll be asked again and again.

Thanks everyone, as it turned out DH wasn't home in time for me to go so the problem solved itself.

You dodged a bullet there.
