Help! Going to an party in a bar in the centre of a big northern city on Saturday night - hosts have said smart casual dress code.
What would you wear?
I'm 5ft 2, size 8-10....

I think people will be dressing up if its a Saturday night and a party. Smart Casual is probably just a discreet way of telling the guys they won't have to wear a tie!
Nice dress and heels?

(if it was me, nice dress, tights, scarf, flats and a coat and a ton of make-up to make up for dressing like an old lady when I'm in my 20s. Comfort ftw.)

What age are you? I'd suggest either a short-ish skirt and a top with sleeves, or a pencil skirt and sleeveless top, with heels (always the heels in northern cities...I live in one). That's smart casual without being overdressed, and fits with the surroundings.

Pencil skirt and sleeveless top then. Strappy heels because it's summer (allegedly).
