Swimsuit hell !

I really really want a bandeau swimsuit for holiday as I don't want strap marks . Last year bought several from MandS which were great and had tie bit you could add if you wanted to. All great. This I'm struggling as too many have padded cup areas which are no good for my already large chest plus many of them are coming up short on my body - perhaps I have a large torso ?

I'm trying to be realistic in that clothes wise in a size 18 tops in Boden and Marks and 18 in A line skirts and have ordered both size 18 and 20 and they come up short in that they do not cover my bust.bust 36G in fantasie.

Has anyone else got this problem but found SOMETHING .

Also connected - anyone this size and got a good fit on a speedo suit as they seem to have sone lovely designs on their website.

Am I doomed for being a chunky monkey ?

Simply BE have a great range of swim suits in various different styles and a number of them come with a longer body. A lot of them have Magisculpt in them, too, which is great at holding lots of bits in.

I have been very pleased with matalan this year. They have a great range of swimwear, many with removable padding. The bandeau style ones have that grabby rubber stuff around the top edge to stop them falling down and have been plenty long enough for my long torso. I was losing hope as I couldn't find anything anywhere!

flanjabelle · 22/05/2016 20:28

Sorry just a disclaimer, I am a size ten, but they had up to a 22 in most styles in my local matalan.

SilvaCaledonia · 22/05/2016 20:32

Yep, I also got I e from Matalan, I really hate swimsuits as I am long of body and got boobs , and normally look huge, but I got this and it's quite nice.

I also have a long body and find swimsuits difficult, although I want them for length swimming. I was advised to go a size up in Speedo to get the length. This works lengthwise for me, but I don't quite have the boobs to fill the top.

Miraclesuit!

Pricey but worth it.

SilvaCaledonia · 22/05/2016 21:25

I did go up a size to encompass long body and cover boobs Grin

Slightly derailing the thread but I have just started my annual quest to find swimwear for my gigantic norks that looks like something a normal person might, conceivably, actually choose to wear but God it's depressing.
If I wanted to wear a bra in public I would wear a bra.

Have a look at m n s online I find their long length solves the problem
I know they are closing down and but BHS always used to have good swimwear

DianaT1969 · 23/05/2016 06:16

MotherBlueStocking - where are you looking? I find the options for fuller busted swimwear to be quite wide now. So many online stores specialising in it.

Brastop
Bravissimo
Airy Mary
Belle Lingerie
Ample Bosom
Leia Lingerie
And Simply Beach sell all sizes, but a good selection of DD+

MotherBluestocking · 23/05/2016 07:26

Have looked at the first two but not the others. Will check.
The problem is not so much the size of the selection, which is indeed much better than it used to be, but the sturdy underwired character of the offering. I like Heidi Klein, but not the prices.
