U.S. size conversion for j crew

I'm trying to buy something from the J crew website. It says it's in U.S. Sizes. I'm a UK size 12. Would medium be right?

I haven't bought much j crew but the American shop I use seems to be one size down. That would mean a uk 12 is a us 10, which surly must be medium??? Is there a size guide on the site?

I've just put on a pair of us jeans and am now confused, think I was won't about sizing. Ignore me!

There's a size chart on the website UK12 is a medium, which I would agree with as I'm a UK10 and take a small from them.

Yes a medium sounds right. I buy from them all the time. I am a uk 6 and typically get a xs or xxs.

I'd email or phone them. They're incredibly helpful and friendly. They've given me lots of advice on sizing, including on normal versus petite sizes.

I would say that I think their clothes are HUGE. I'm 5' 10" and am, granted, slim, but I tried one of their dresses in the smallest regular size and it was tentlike. Lovely lovely clothes though.
