Shoes to go with plum dress

I've got a dress that I'd like to wear for a wedding this summer but worried that black shoes might look a bit too wintery. What other colour options would work well?

It's a similar sort of colour to this dress, so I was thinking this sort of shade for shoes. But what colour is this? Taupe maybe?

Grey. Don't wear nude shoes. They are boring and a bit Middleton-y.

Metallics? Pewter, gold, copper?

Animal print?

Especially snake print.

Nice dress! You could do a warm tan as opposed to pale nude.
Agree that metallic would look nice. Also metallic looks fancy enough that you can get away with flats if it's a long day...

Both from bhs who have huge sale on.

I actually have some shoes similar to the grey/silver ones almostthirty and while logically they should work, they just look totally wrong together when I tried them on with the dress. Hence my dilemma, as silver/grey would have been my first choice.
