petite ball gown

Hi, my daughter is going to a posh do in London and needs a ball gown for it.
She's only 5ft 2 and a size 10/12 ish.
Where could she look for something (that's also not too expensive, as she's still a student). Thanks!

Coast do petite sizes and the sale section on the website can be pretty good price wise.

Asos have a petite section might be worth a look.

I regularly see beautiful dresses (prom dresses I tend to presume) in charity shops - it would certainly be worth her while having a mooch. Some charities have special 'boutiques' where they collect all their wedding outfits / prom dresses etc.
They tend to be the sort of thing that some people spend a lot on, then won't wear for a second time, so certainly worth having a look for.
