where to get a bikini for a 10 year old?

Leaving aside the issue of whether my 10 year old should wear a bikini does anyone know where I can find any that come where the top is 2 separate triangles (don't need to be triangles but definitely 2 separate parts) and not a all in one piece that is flat across the top? Used to have in F&F but don't seem to do anymore. Looked at Next and they don't either. Thanks.

I think a lot of companies stopped due to the furore, unfortunately for you. Sorry can't help (I agree with the furore/companies but not to the extent I'd judge anyone whose pre-teen had demanded/nagged, so to me the change is a good one as the easy answer is 'they don't make them anymore').

I like this. It's nice and summery and in age 10

When my god-daughter was 10 years old I was able to buy her women's size 8 clothing from Top Shop. Have you tried those smaller sizes? In which case you might find something at H&M, Topshop or a surf style one at Surfdome.

That's the first ting from Boden that I've liked. I'll go back and see if they do it adult sizes!

Asda.

...and Tesco did have some at the weekend, on a separate stand to the rest of the swimming stuff, with the sunhats and sunglasses. Fluorescent triangles held together with crocheted string.

Zara. My DD has some age appropriate two pieces from there

squizita · 20/05/2016 11:13

Dubious I really like that shape - looks more grown up but NOT 2 triangles. Everyone happy - appropriate but not the same as the 6 year olds.

DubiousCredentials · 20/05/2016 11:17

Yes I thought the same squizita.

Another vote for Zara

DaisyArcher · 20/05/2016 14:36

The pineapple one from Zara is hideous.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 20/05/2016 14:38

Peacocks often seem to have that sort of thing

bearleftmonkeyright · 20/05/2016 14:42

The boden bikinis are great and fit really well. Not cheap but my DD got a couple of years out of hers at 12/13.
