"Modern" stripey/Breton tops?!

I'm wedded to my Breton tops with skinny jeans and Supergas (don't tell me it's passé - I have no idea WTF else to wear) but all my boatneck ones (Gap, Zara) are starting to look dated.

I think I'm after boxier, crew-neck ones, maybe more like these from ASOS (not petite though) - does anyone have them, or can recommend any others?:

Try JCrew, Petite Bateau, Charles Tyrwhitt, Boden, Armor Lux, they all do a range of colours.

Thanks Kitty! I've looked at all of those and although they're nice, they're all a bit too similar to what I have already. I'm not really sure how to "modernise" my beloved Bretons, so I might just have to get out of my comfort zone and find something else!

H&M do a good budget range of breton stripes (I live in them too) in fact wearing one (Boden) right now.

Have you tried joules Harbour Top.
Lots of colour options and quality fabric. But go down a size I'd suggest.

I also love a stripy top or three, I spied a few in H&M the other day.

Does it have to be long sleeves? This is great if not.

Can't do links but Tesco have a short sleeved navy and white boat neck t shirt in right now, it's gorgeous on, especially if you like to show a bit of neck/shoulder line. It's cheap and won't last forever but it's very nice thick jersey and a good length.

Joules and Boden both do good ones. Joules are boxier fit and thicker material.

Joules ones are brilliant as they're actually pretty warm. And thick so they stand out from your tum a bit. Hide a multitude.

I love the Joules Harbour tops.. They're the thickest ones I own, and I own waaaay too many breton tops. I wouldn't size down, but I don't like my clothes tight, they're a flattering loose fit. And good price for the thickness of material for Joules. I bought the tee version last week and going to send it back as the material is awful, and it was only £5 less!! You get the Harbour top in long and 3/4 sleeved versions.
