Is there a 'Dermablend' for light skin?

Normal Dermablend in 15 (their lightest shade) is too dark for me. Even with a St Tropez tan, it looks orange and very dark (same colour as a beech desk!).

I have various skin problems on arms and legs which I'd like to cover but can't (tried MAC face & body but its way too sheer).

My skin is alabaster in winter and ivory in summer. Am I doomed? Why is nobody catering to this market which must be huge given the propensity to suffer acne and rosacia in the Northern hemisphere?

No advice about Dermablend but I have had huge success with Lily Lolo as they have a huge range of very light shades. They also do testers so you don't have to commit.

I agree that dermablend colours are bloody awful. Have you looked at keromask ? Their colours might be more suitable. They are a similar sort of make up, high coverage and transfer resistant for tattoo coverage, body make up (veins etc) and can cover rosacea too.

Or does Estée Lauder double wear come in a shade light enough? That is VERY high coverage, comes in loads of shades and is easy to find/try on the high street. EL also used to do a max cover make up, not sure if that has been discontinued but it only came in very few ahades

I don't understand why Dermablend can't make a shade that isn't the colour of walnut though and the misrepresentation by what's shown on packaging and marketing/website is terrible. They know about the problem as their UK website has feedback along these lines but nothing.

I found our Boots had an 05 shade called Opal yesterday but it sounds like this might still be too dark for you.

I have 15 opal and it's a bit too light for me. They do make a lighter colour called linen but you can't buy it in boots like you can the others. You should be able to find it online though.

Kat von D foundation from the US is very popular because it has very light shades and covers any blemish including tattoos, although I've never tried it myself.

Ive never seen linen in shops or online. The Opal is the lightest available in the UK (15 ). It looks fine online, on the box. and when you open it but once on the skin, it turns deep orange. It had a revamp/re-design a couple of years ago but the colours are still the same.

I have the same problem with Dermablend. It's such an amazing product (ultimate holy grail foundation) but the lack of shades makes me so sad. EL Double Wear is fab but I'm really allergic to it.

I've got some rather ancient dermablend concealer in B12. I also had a stick concealer in 'fair'. Looks like they've renamed the colours so not sure if they'd match across. I use Lilylolo mineral powder now. It is quite good but won't cover quite as fully as dermablend. They do testers so you can find the right colour without buying full size.

Just came back to say that the 05 shade in Boots isn't Opal, I think it's porcelain. It's on the boots website too.

That's interesting I like dermablend because it doesn't oxidise and go orange once I've applied it. I wonder if you could perhaps try it over a different moisturiser or primer.
I sometimes wear my dermablend over a sheer foundation. So today for instance I'm wearing Chanel lift lumiere and have dermablend blended in all over my very red cheeks, parts of my nose and chin.
I started doing this after watching a Lisa Eldridge video where she does the same for an acne sufferer ( I don't have acne but I have red cheeks and this application works really well for me)

I use it as a concealer because I have panda eyes. I use a Chanel foundation in shade 10 and this in SX03. It comes out paler than the foundation. And there are even paler options available. You only need the tiniest amount and it builds.

Yes, as a PP has said, Porcelain is much lighter than Opal (and pinker iirc).

Up-date! I went onto the Boots website and they only have the body stick and body foundation in Opal (15), Nude (25) and Sand (35).

However! the face foundation is in porcelain (05) so I'll let them off. I wonder why they don't do it for the body though. I'd love to use this but wouldn't risk it on the body even when setting it with the powder.

In the end I ordered the sample pack from Keromask suggested by a PP so fingers crossed.
