Wellies, again.....

So after 13 years my Hunter wellies have cracked. I've searched previous threads on mumsnet and hunters seem to now be poor quality, as are joules wellies. Threads seem to be recommending leather type wellies but I spend a lot of my time splashing about in the sea, so surely they'd get ruined?

So any recommendations for up to £70 for wellies that will last a few years (or ideally a decade?)

I wear my wellies a few times a week for the following:

• crossing by boggy lawn
• beach and splashing in the waves with my kids
• walks through muddy & sheep poo fields,
• helping out as little as possible with sheep.

I probably need ones with wider calves as I'll be tucking boiler suit legs into them too.

I want some Isla Jacobsen ones with the laces up the front.

I was very disappointed with the last Hunters I bought, btw. Disintegrated in no time.

I recently bought a pair of Aigle wellies... I'm only comparing them to cheap Dunlops but they're amazingly comfortable. Supposed to last well too. Paid about £60 for them.

Brier classics are exactly the same style as Hunters but far superior quality and less than half the price. They are about £29.99 in most places. Mine have lasted 2 years so far and going strong.

Dublin Bay if you want DuBarry lookalikes; le Chameau for practical.

|Ilse Jacobsen are nice, comfortable but the soles don't last well.

I like the look of Ilse jacobsen but I wonder if water comes in where the laces meet.
