Can anyone recommend a toning shampoo for blonde / highlighted hair please? There's too many to choose from and I don't want to waste money on something rubbish.

Thanks Smile

Provoke Touch of Silver.

Don't leave it on too long, it will turn your hair lilac.

L'oreal professional is v good

I use the Lee Stafford Bleach Blondes Range. He does an every day shampoo and conditioner and another blue one that I use once a week. They sell it in Boots and it's fab stuff! About £6 a tube but it lasts for ages.

I second L'oreal professional silverising shampoo, after Osmo which is a professional product. They both have real toner in, not just a purple colourant to the shampoo like some other brands. Just read the directions!

What does a toning shampoo do?

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 14/05/2016 21:03

I second Lee Stafford from Boots bleach blonde. The only toner I've found that doesn't dry out your hair and gives great shine.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 14/05/2016 21:05

Toner neutralises brassy or orange/yellow tones in blonde hair.

Thanks all, I'll have a look in Boots.

The hairdressers had a brand I hadn't heard of before and it was £££s but apparently you only use it every third wash so should last a while.
