Can anyone point me in the direction of the above please, must be totally non see through and cropped or capri length (not sure of the difference). also any tunics or short dresses that would go with this look with sleeves would be greatly appreciated.

Really sorry but I don't think these actually suit anyone really! Is there a particular reason you want them?

Whyarethebestnamestaken · 13/05/2016 21:18

Hi Lacey,

I just have awful veiny legs and could not go bare legged and think summer dresses with tights can look like you are trying to cover something (which I am).

Leggings are so comfy and I love wearing them around the house and would like to have the confidence to wear outside. Capri leggings would be more summery I think and also white is better than black.

Try white stuff Capri

drspouse · 13/05/2016 21:39

I quite often wear coloured leggings with summer dresses/tunics but unhelpfully I got one of my favourite pairs (grass green) in Palm Springs and the other (light navy) from People Tree (and they don't do them now).
But toning colours might be less see through.

Tu range in Sainsburys are good but you have to buy a 2 pack with black

Oldraver · 24/05/2016 16:19

I tried on the Sainsburys white in the double pack last year and they looked awful...very see through. I dont think they do the better individual ones in white. Have to say whenever I see them on people its not a good look..not sure if they would look better if they were a good quality

Oldraver · 24/05/2016 16:21

Mantaray have a lot of dresses about knee length that would go with leggings...I love their style and colours but they are often frowned upon on here

nanetterose · 24/05/2016 16:40

White leggings look fresh in the summer. As you are using them to conceal your legs, they need not be that thick - l imagine your butt won't be on display! Wink
Try Mistral for dresses & leggings. They have some lovely 'lighter' shades. (leggings)

Auburn2000 · 24/05/2016 16:49

I've just bought some thick black cropped leggings from Bon Marche (to wear with purple/grey/black tunic) and saw that they do white ones and white patterned ones. Also saw them new on eBay. I'm too big of hip and thigh myself to suit white leggings, but would wear them if I was shaped otherwise!

drspouse · 24/05/2016 20:41

Anyone seen navy cropped leggings? My go to pair are getting very baggy.

Liiinooo · 25/05/2016 11:41

I love white jeans and leggings in the summer. With a nice long silk or linen top and brown legs they look so fresh and groomed - until I sit on bird poo or spill wine down them!

Uniqlo cropped jeggings are great - I bought some in Oxford St last week and when I got them home they got such a positive response from my Fashion-conscious DDs I I went on line and ordered more in several colours (including navy drspouse) . I also ordered more white ones so I can wash them often. The white is sufficiently heavy /non see through you could wear it with a short length top if you wanted. And they are on special offer!

I will try and link but if it fails the product code for white is 174517.

drspouse I bought these two years ago and they are still going strong. Mine were slightly different (just three buttons) so not sure these version are exactly the same but mine were a nice weight

Whyarethebestnamestaken · 26/05/2016 08:38

Thanks for the ideas, I did look at the Sainsburys double pack of leggings and thought they seemed too see through. I love the luxury ones in black at £10 a pair but they don't do them in white.

Do you know what the Uniqlo sizing is like, I am usually a 14 (at least in Marks).

Thank you all.

I bought these last year - they come in white and seem to be decent quality to me.

Liiinooo · 26/05/2016 09:06

I am a 12/14 and I carry all my weight on my stomach and waist (and my boobs, but that doesn't affect my jeans size ) I found the medium to be a good fit - comfortable round my middle and high waisted enough to avoid a muffin top but still a flattering, snug fit on my skinny little legs.

drspouse · 26/05/2016 15:54

I tried on Uniqlo jeggings but really don't like them, I'll have a look at M&co, thanks.

ThisIsNotARealAvo · 26/05/2016 16:39

You could try white jeggings, they might look better and definitely won't be see through

DragosteaDinTei · 26/05/2016 17:01

drspouse Boden have cropped navy leggings (not terribly cheap at £19.50 but 25% off with code A9J8).

Their full-length leggings are excellent - they wash really well, no sagging, not see-through etc. so I would assume the cropped ones are the same.

drspouse · 26/05/2016 21:02

Ooh thanks!

ManonLescaut · 26/05/2016 21:49

Honestly, they just look like long johns.

I'd go for white cropped skinnies instead with a tunic top.

JackandDiane · 26/05/2016 21:56

JUST NO

theclick · 26/05/2016 22:04

I don't think you should do this. But if you do, maybe try American Apparel? They probably have them in most colours.

Liiinooo · 27/05/2016 18:14

My Uniqlo cropped jeggings in White. As you can see I am a little short arse so they are pretty much full length on me. If I wear them with flats I turn them up.

White cropped leggings - non see through
drspouse · 01/06/2016 10:06

Ahhaaa!

I just remembered I fit into Johnnie B sizes. Also their cropped leggings are cotton/lycra not viscose lycra AND they are a little shorter (I am a short-arse too. Especially my legs).

Ordering the 15-16 and 16+ sizes to see which is better. May have to slip some other things in the basket. Sadly they don't have white (I don't want it but for the OP). They are also out of grey and black in those sizes but ah well.

amarmai · 01/06/2016 12:57

Op,you can cut long leggings and they do fray. I did this with a white pair and they are fine. Also I dye them when they get less white.
