Hi lovely mn. After weeks of searching, im reaching out to you for some help.

Have parents 60th bbq in two weeks and need a dress that I can wear that is bf appropriate (ds will be 8 weeks at the bbq). Would also like it to double up for a christening and baby shower later in the summer.

Trouble is all the dresses I like are high necked (I really like 1950 style dresses) and all the bf ones are frumpy.

I bought what I thought would be perfect m.oasis-stores.com/stripe-cowl-belted-dress/dresses/oasis/fcp-product/5788500 but it looks horrendous on.

I don't necessarily want a 'nirsing' dress but one I can whip the norms out with ease subtly, and one that is loose on the still slightly rounded belly.

I'm probs about a generous 14 now, and love 1950s styles and floral prints. Ideally don't want to spend more than £60.

If I wasn't bf, I'd buy this in a shot! prettykittyfashion.co.uk/products/green-pink-vintage-floral-blossom-rockabilly-swing

Thanks all x

How about something like this floral wrap dress?

Or you can sometimes find some nice button-front tea dresses, if you don't mind going a bit 40s rather than 50s:

Found a Lindy Bop button front dress:

Love the Pretty Kitty dress btw!

Thanks pantsalive. I like the idea of 40s witj buttons. 2nd one's lovely but would like something a bit more summery rather than black- but you've given me something else to look for. Thanks

The Lindy Bop one also comes in blue and is currently reduced to £23!

I thought the black florals weren't quite summery enough.

Good luck!
