Need a hat for Ascot

I'm wearing this Phase Eight dress:

Looking for a wide brimmed hat in pink but can't decide what shade of pink!

Really like the bold fuschia colour but my mother (who is rather like Hyacinth Bucket in her fashion taste) thinks it is far too vulgar and too bright for a floral dress.

Should I go for something paler or cream? If it's relevant I'm 42, size 12 with dark brown hair.

I don't know where you live but I always hire my hats now. I go a brilliant mad woman who has over 2,000.

One place I've used a few times is Get Ahead Hats. They have a great selection. All based on farms run by farmers wives. They are all over the UK.
