A friend and I would like to go and "get our colours done". We've noticed that there seems to be 2 companies colour me beautiful and house of colour.

Which one is the best or how do they differ.
We've looked at our local consultants for both and they both look abit out there with lots of colour going on.

House of colour all the way (I'm
A HoC consultant Grin).

Seriously, I can answer any questions you have about the differences. The reason I chose HoC over CMB when I trained is that the HoC training was far more thorough and in my own colour analysis with HoC (I have done both) I felt like my consultant spent longer doing the analysis so it felt v thorough, and then spent time actually teaching me how to use my colours and shop and put a wardrobe together with them.

I'm in Devon Choco.

derek it's finding the colours that make you look best, basically. I generally help my clients find the best palette of colours to build their capsule wardrobe round, then help them further with wardrobe decluttering/personal shopping/putting Pinterest board together etc.

I wouldn't do either. 2 friends had it done and raved about it and persuaded me to go. I thought it was a total waste of money . Quite good fun though

Oh that's a shame. Bit too far. Any recommendations for Southampton? The consultants look abit too done and matchy matchy.

Went to a talk this week about capsule wardrobe and a consultant demonstrated how it works and the results were something else.

I had HOC and I'd recommend. I was already buying many of the right colours, but it helped me see how other colours in my palette would work and how they all work together. It also got me trying brighter lipsticks. I get quite a lot of compliments on my clothes so I'd say it's worked.

Not that near (and obviously we are all equally well trained and competent etc) but I know personally, and would thoroughly recommend, Michelle in Chichester or Vicky in Poole.
