how to deal with a moustache?

I can't wax - I get terrible in growing hairs.
I can't use veet - I'm allergic
I can't do lasers - too £££

So is threading my best bet?

There's a place benito brow bar in debenhams that do threading. I'm tempted to give it a try.
There's only so much being told by the dcs that I have a moustache I can take. 😳😥

Electrolysis? I've never tried threading but have heard it's painful and can cause ingrowing hairs too. Shaving?

How expensive is electrolysis?

I'm not shaving, the regrowth from the veet was stubbly enough!

I had my eyebrows threaded years ago and it was fine, but then I've plucked them since forever!

Epistick/ self-threading springy thing. Cheap as chips and quick and easy to do at home yourself. I just fiddle about with it in front of the telly every few weeks or so. Job done.

I have my eyebrows threaded and last time I went I asked her to do my top lip. It was the worst pain I've encountered since CB. She had to stop half way thru. I was making lots of strange noises and my eyes were streaming so I won't be having it done again. I'm going to try the epistick thing

I tried electrolysis, but it left marks on my skin, so the therapist recommended i stopped.

I know you said that laser is expensive, but you can get really good deals on Groupon. I got a deal which was upper lip, sides and chin and it was £60 for 6 sessions. I'm about to have session 5 and it's been great so far.

spring epilator thingy works for me although I still need to use tweezers on any bigger wiry hairs.

I use a bleaching cream - works really well & I redo it about every 6 weeks or whenever I start noticing it again. May not work so well if the hairs are long rather than just dark

Get some bleach, an epistick, good tweezers and use them in rotation as needed. And save up for a Lumea. Not quite tackled it completely yet, but I've used none of the above in since getting the Lumea.

Epistick changed my life! Love it. though it does hurt - but at least you are in control of it

I don't want to bleach as the hairs are long and numerous. A yellow tache would be nearly as bad!

Did you get in growing hair on your lip from waxing?

I get my incipient Tom Selleck 'tache threaded - it is hurty but no worse than eyebrows for me, don't need to get it done that often, and I haven't had any ingrowns or anything from it.

On my lip I get bad red spots from waxing which I'm guessing are in growing hairs? But no better than a moustache in terms of attractiveness 😬

Eyebrow razors from Amazon. If you search YouTube you can see lots of people using them on their face. Hair does not grow back thicker.

Threading is really painful and the hair grows back really quickly. I use Jolen Creme Bleach. It works really well and it's safe.

I've threaded them for more than a decade. Doesn't hurt me much. But the threading person is usually surprised as they see that it usually causes acute pain to most. My left eyebrow causes me acute pain though. So guess am even!

Huh, I don't find the hair grows back all that quickly, and it's not that painful. YMMV.

I used to use cream bleach but didn't really like the look of the results.

I had mine threaded once. O.M.G. the pain. Never again. Eyebrows no prob, but upper lip was possibly worse than childbirth in a very 'acute' pain sort of a way. And I got wee white spots for a week after the experience. Hair removal cream for me!

I trim mine as short as I can with tiny, very sharp nail scissors then use tweezers on the hairs. I find if hurts less when they're really short.

Home IPL here, mine's the Boots version of Lumea. It's been awesome and worth the investment (I'm now virtually hair free in pits, legs, bikini and tache).

Just shave it. 20 seconds in the shower.

I use my epilator once a week. It has a wee head especially for the face area. I'm going to invest in an Epistick.
