petticoats?

Hmm. So, are petticoats as old lady-ish as I think they are? I've a lovely summer dress buts it's both a bit short AND blowy! A disaster waiting to happen. It's a gorgeous dress though and as I don't have many, I want to get it right!

Do people wear petticoats? Should I just wear little shorts under?

I sometimes do they make dresses hang better M&S do some that are good, I usually go for a full slip as there are no waist seams. This sort of thing

Do you mean underslips? I wear them lots to stop a dress clinging to my leg with static or if it's transparent
