I need an everyday sun hat

I need a sunhat for the school run-I walk along a straight road with no shade for 20 mins and sunglasses just aren't enough. Any ideas? I want to be able to stuff it in a bag on the way home (away from the sun!)

Panama? They can be rolled up I think?

Have a look at Tilley Hats. They're not cheap, but they're nigh on indestructible. I have several of their hats! their Airflow hat, and it hasnotsufferedfrom being squashed into bags.

Just looked them up.
£60+. Ouch!
Maybe I need to convince myself it's an investment???

I think so! Grin^^

Seriously, though, I was spending £30-£40 every year on a broad-brimmed hat. None of them ever survived until the end of the summer. So £60 for a hat that lasts several years is worthwhile.

Hmm, I also want/need a sunhat - not sure my budget goes to £60+ though...

I just looked in Mountain warehouse. They had a v functional Aussi type or bizarrely a straw beach hat. Neither grabbed me!

I searched 'sun hat'on Amazon and liked the first one.. Multi coloured ribbon braid. Didn't buy as I have a big head and need to try! Cheap as chips.
