Savagebeauty · 12/05/2016 16:12

ellequick · 12/05/2016 16:14

To give you a more serious answer ppeatfruit, I would probably choose this look, from the Diamond Dogs tour. Because I love it, and already have a jumper like that. And because I could make the mask with a paper plate and stick.

the lightning zigzag across the face, maybe with a trouser suit, mind you an off the shoulder top or bustier might go with that, with a bit of -some sort of make up- on the collar bone.

Red wig?

Stripes?

Eye patch?

silver boots?

Ooooh thanks everyone some great ideas ! I love the labyrinth ball look , I was watching his 87 concert on 121 tonight some ideas on there too!

I was going to have my hair cut shorter tomorrow, I'll only have it trimmed and a bit 'mulleted' I reckon Grin

Cover yourself in lots of bows. Then you'd be bow-ie.

herecomesthsun · 12/05/2016 21:29

gold lame top and a fringed skirt? blue eyeshadow?
maxi dress?jumpsuit esp metallic?
short flares with platform boots?

I WOULD NEED TO BE CARRIED !!! Savage WTF is he in a box or something?

Personally I'd go for a pastel suited version ala early 1980s singing with Annie Lennox/ live aid

or a mid-late 1970s post man who fell to earth, dark trouser suit with HAT and fabulous bone structure and some good hair effects

I'd avoid aladdin sane as most others will do this

ziggy could be fun though - lots of bright powder dusted about on your face, and some red hair, maybe a weird circle in the middle of your forehead.

leghoul · 12/05/2016 21:40

Jareth the goblin king is quite easy though - wear some tights basically on their own and a big white shirt

leghoul · 12/05/2016 21:40

& the socks

leghoul · 12/05/2016 21:43

I'd avoid the tin machine/ nine inch nails phase (basically wear mostly black, eyeliner sort of like eddie izzard, and grow a goatee) but could be quite refreshing for a Bowie party

leghoul · 12/05/2016 21:44

this is an excellent party idea I see there's a cycling party in Portland every year (this year is the last!) of Prince vs Bowie. It's wonderful. Sad Wine look it up for inspiration

ppeatfruit · 12/05/2016 21:44

Yeah I like the 'thin white duke' look with the thin tie. I could do that. I could also do the grey leggings look (not at the same time though) I like his hair as the goblin king (though where the hairdresser got that look from I don't know) Grin

I even had a black velvet waistcoat , though I don't know if I still have… would a peplumed black velvet, big shouldered jacket do? Over a frilly white shirt`?

OP posts:
ppeatfruit · 12/05/2016 21:49

This is fun it's basically a 70s party isn't it?

OP posts:
ppeatfruit · 12/05/2016 21:52

I can't remember what shoes or boots he wore as Jareth with his baggy tights.

Thanks a lot everyone for you help . I'm off to bed (it's an hour later here). Night Night

Yes jacket/frilly shirt and some grey leggings or tights! I think black boots if you have them, and LOTS OF EYELINER!
hair = backcomb with much hairspray? add straighteners if so inclined!
