I wore 50s style / wiggle dresses. Look at Hell Bunny, Lindy Bop etc for ideas. Some gorgeous styles.

Just realised it is black tie! Thought is was an eve out. My suggestions are too casual, but you could look at Coast, Jigsaw and Hobbs.
