Need help with finding afternoon tea and cocktails outfit.

I'm at a loss! Don't have a clue what would look good for a champagne afternoon tea in a nice, (smart casual,) hotel followed by early evening cocktails.

Can't go too glammed up, think it would look silly, but want something nicer than my usual daytime skinnies and converse/Birkenstocks!

I'm tall and size 10/12. Help please!

Yes I'd wear a fairly unstructured dress with a jacket and flats (ankle boots or sandals depending on weather)... what's your budget?
