Cruelty Free Sunscreen

Does anyone know of a cruelty free sunscreen brand that I'll be able to buy at the airport please? Travelling with hand baggage only & up to my liquid allowance already. Thanks

What do you mean by 'cruelty free'?

As in not tested on animals and preferably not made by a company that tests on animals

Have a look at Green People. Their sun screens have very good reviews and may come in travel sizes.

Just checked - they have loads in 30ml and 100ml sizes.

If there is a Superdrug their own brand products aren't tested on animals. M & S own brand. Liz Earle.

Marks and Spencer's own brand sunscreen is not tested on animals. Not sure whether there will be an M & S at your airport though.

I can't say for sure but I believe chemical sunscreens are automatically out with cruelty free standards so you'll have to go for a mineral one. John Masters Organics SPF 30 comes in a handy flat squeezy tube of 59ml and has a really nice texture for a chemical. Look at Jason for cheaper (but I have no experience with it). Both not at the airport most likely and I think you'll be hard pressed to find one there.

Cruelty FREE International! Cruelty International would be a very different and horrible organisation!

According to one website, superdrug , m and s and sainsbury own brands meet your requirements.

Thanks all, think I'm going to have to rethink my toiletries - I'm already near to the 1 litre allowance with everything else (amazing how it all adds up shampoo, conditioner, showergel, toothpaste, deodorant, perfume, moisturiser, make-up etc). So was hoping I'd be easily able to pick up sunscreen at the airport, especially given that I'm bound to need more than 100ml!

Do you know which shops are available at the airport you're flying from? Which airport is it?

Gatwick North terminal which I think means Boots & the duty free shop. Surely boots must stock cruelty free hair / shower products so I'll save the ones I've already bought & take sunscreen with me instead.

Sunsense is not tested on animals (tested on humans) and contains no animal ingredients.

I thought that all cosmetics etc that are sold in the uk can't be tested on animals now. Surely all are now cruelty free?

Yeah but the ingredients used might not be SickRose also some of those companies operate globally where they do test on animals for R&D (Think Lauder, L'oreal, etc. which own a majority of brands). Also if they sell in physical stores in China they are forced to test every single product on animals by the Chinese government. It has all severely widened the definition of what is and isn't cruelty free.

Boots (on twitter) swear that none of the ingredients in boots own brand sun cream are tested on animals.
I opted for Ultrasun from the world duty free shop, do the click & collect as it's after security.

I use Jason sunscreen - in specialist shops but no supermarkets or Boots I don't think?

Tropic sunscreen - lovely stuff

I always buy superdrug/sains sunscreen because it's leaping bunny approved.

Never burnt with either & I'm 1 on the skin type scale.
