Does anyone have any experience of this and found something that works? I am sick to death of spots, my self esteem couldn't be any lower and parts of my face are sore. I have recently had a miscarriage so I think that's why it's so bad at the moment but I literally always have spots.

I use clarins cleanser and toner and everlasting foundation. I can't take the contraceptive pill for various reasons so it's not that. I would rather a cleanser or beauty treatment over taking tablets but if I need to I would do. I have had enough now. Thanks for any advice

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage. FlowersCake

If your skin is as bad as it sounds, then you need medical intervention. No point faffing about with cosmetic stuff. But do get some La Roche Posay efaclar while waiting. And get to your GP or dermatologist.

Low pH cleansing, benzoyl peroxide and hydrating steps. Has done wonders for me.

Thanks for your reply, I think you are probably right re GP. I just really hate going and I know they will give me the cheapest/ least effective treatment first that probably won't work so I will need to go back etc and it's a nightmare trying to find the time. I Have to though, I have taken to avoiding looking in mirrors as much as possible because I feel like I look that bad.

I will also look at the la Roche stuff too while I wait 2 weeks to see a GP

I am tempted to look at paying privately to see a dermatologist but I have no idea how much it would be or if I could afford it. Any ideas anyone?

I second benzoyl peroxide (2% to 5% concentration works as well at 10% but does not irritate skin) to fight inflammation and cod liver oil (vitamin A) - one capsule a day as a preventative measure. Works magic. My skin is clear now. I struggled for years until I found what works.

If you also have thin hair, dry skin, low mood, prone to depression - it could be iron deficiency or low thyroid.

I mean benzoyl peroxide topically on the affected skin, and cod liver oil - eat one capsule daily.
