Boden Lizzie trousers

The name reminds me of an axe murderer but never mind. Page 66 of latest catalogue. Model looks stunning in them, but on site the trousers look a bit frumpy.

No reviews yet as brand new.

Any thoughts? I'm a size 14 short/ 'petite'.

Hmmmmm those have a whiff of a BHS offering. It's the front pockets. Looks like it's natural styling partners would be a pair of Hotter sandals and a wide sleeve Bon Marche t-shirt.

This sort of thing comes to mind...

I saw them in the catalogue and thought they looked just the thing I wanted, but then I saw them on the website and those pockets put me right off. Think they wouldn't be flattering to anyone with even a hint of hips. Unlike the stick insect model in the catalogue.

polyhymnia · 03/05/2016 17:51

Think they are new on the site. Site says the big pockets are the point of them, but they're exactly what put me off!

CointreauVersial · 03/05/2016 17:55

They are odd. They have cargo trouser styling, but in a skinny shape.

Those pockets scream "Hey, look at my hips!"

MorrisZapp · 03/05/2016 17:59

:) Crevice

Think I need to face facts huh.

Oh, no, not keen on those pockets

CreviceImp · 03/05/2016 19:09

😄

Naicecuppatea · 03/05/2016 19:44

Hmmm. I am not too averse to them! The first picture of the model standing sideways looks ok. The other one of her standing straight on is worse, as the massive pockets seem to make her legs look shorter. But if someone bought me them I would probably wear them as the overall shape and fit looks alright.

foolsgold · 03/05/2016 19:47

If the pockets are such a useful size how come the model can't put her whole hand in them? Because if they were full they would look awful.

shirkingworking · 03/05/2016 20:22

Sorry - bad unflattering version of 1990s cargos... Even on the gorgeous models!

BikeRunSki · 03/05/2016 20:28

They should come in camo print for birdwatchers, because that's what the styling makes them look like.

WellThankYouAJPTaylor · 03/05/2016 20:45

I'm actually not averse to the pockets, because I have a pair of trews from Boden from a couple of years ago that have v similar pockets (although different apart from that) and they are truly the most flattering trousers I have - and I am a pear with all my weight on my hips and thighs. They are like magic. So I'd be open to these just on that basis. Worth a try with free returns.

catacats · 05/05/2016 21:53

Well I've just bought them and will report back in due course! Wellthankyou I think I have the same trousers from a few years back and they are my favourites so much so I went and ordered all three colours something I never do.

MorrisZapp · 06/05/2016 09:21

Ooh let us know when they arrive! Pics if you're brave:)
