I'm looking for some comfortable shoes, mainly for work. What do you think? OK or horribly frumpy?

What would you wear them with? Ankle length tailored/straight leg black trousers and an oversized blouse/shirt would be lovely.

JewryMember · 29/04/2016 22:31

Even Ann Widdecombe would find these frumpy.

FlappyRose · 29/04/2016 22:35

Thanks, I was thinking slim ankle length trousers. I don't want to look like Ann Widdecombe though (or worse!).

Might be better in brighter colour.

Nettletheelf · 29/04/2016 23:37

Don't buy them. Barbara Woodhouse would have worn those.

ScarletForYa · 29/04/2016 23:39

They're hideous, sorry OP.

LanaorAna1 · 29/04/2016 23:42

I think they're preppie ie but the colour says Frinton in a carcoat. Black would be a lot better. Gold would work properly.

fiorentina · 29/04/2016 23:48

I think they are but depends how you wore them. If you like then go for it!

silvermantela · 29/04/2016 23:49

Posters saying they are frumpy are a bit out of touch. I'm 27 and work in a professional environment - lots of my colleagues from 20s to 50s wear loafers of different styles and colours including similar ones to those posted both in office and out for drinks after work and look smart. If you're wearing them with slim flit trousers or jeans, and bare feet they're fine, only if with frilly dresses and baggy tights then maybe a bit frumpy!

gingerboy1912 · 29/04/2016 23:56

They are frumpy don't buy them.

Floisme · 30/04/2016 00:35

I like them.

MitzyLeFrouf · 30/04/2016 00:50

Oh I love a tasselled loafer!

cissyfuss · 30/04/2016 01:08

Frumpy in tan.... better in white, silver, primary colour...

PrimalLass · 30/04/2016 01:11

Not frumpy - they are everywhere just now.

MitzyLeFrouf · 30/04/2016 01:25

Oh no not white!

I love them in tan.
