A night out, panic about what to wear

So I am going on a hen night (am 27) I am normally wearing a work uniform or pj's. I need an outfit, they are all very glam. Budget up to around £50, I have a million pairs of shoes and little bags. I am 5ft3 and a size UK 4. I just look like a child next to them all ( they are all 5ft6/7) with curves Envy. Please help

I'm older but was in a similar situation. If you have brands that you like already then eBay is great for this. I bought a great ted baker dress for £40 that I can resell if I decide to. Shift dresses are also very elegant looking whatever your shape.

vanillabeauty · 29/04/2016 16:59

Thank you for your quick reply, I have about ten dresses I got from eBay, none fit correctly :(
Maybe I will have to brave the shops Sad. I have several shift dresses that tend to swamp me.

What sort of colours do you like?

How about something like this? Not even slightly child-like

Millipedewithherfeetup · 29/04/2016 17:07

Was just about to suggest a jumpsuit similar to the one mrslettuce just posted, that plus glam heels will look fantastic !

vanillabeauty · 29/04/2016 17:09

That is amazing, I wish I could pull it off, my lack of bust (even with chicken fillets). I am a pale brunette, winter I think? Tend to wear reds/white/navy/purples. I really like that but my chest although I am a 28dd appears flat (shallow, wide boobs) 😔 My friends wish they are small, but it's equally as difficult 😭

OP posts:
MrsLettuce · 29/04/2016 17:14

But you need small boobs with a cut like that. It's essential!

vanillabeauty · 29/04/2016 17:18

Do you think? I look totally flat without a bra? Maybe I could order and try on. Gosh I hate trying stuff on 🍷🍷🍷🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸 I do like the idea of a jumpsuit, thankyou I never would have considered one.

MrsLettuce · 29/04/2016 17:27

Yes, honestly. I think you'd be amazed TBH. One of the advantages of a small bust is that that sort of cut looks simultaneously very elegant and very sexy!

There are similar ones about in other colours I think. Shall I look?

vanillabeauty · 29/04/2016 17:33

If you don't mind looking, please that would be great, I think a fresh eye helps when you are stuck in a fleece pj rut 😳

Heehee, it does! I can imagine that it must be a right PITA shopping when you need both petite and a 4.

Need to do dinner and bedtime now but I'll be back!

You could also pull off something like this tiny weeny dress or this rather glam maxi, should the urge take you.

MrsLettuce · 29/04/2016 17:46

Oh FFS, ASOS is being useless with links ATM. I forgot. The names of the articles are in the URL it shows above the error message, if you look. In any case, their petite range is well worth rummaging through.

MrsLettuce · 29/04/2016 20:20

The ASOS links work like this I think:

teeny weeny dress: www.asos.com/john-zack-petite/john-zack-petite-plunge-front-metallic-pleated-skater-dress/prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=6273715&clr=Rose&SearchQuery=John-Zack-Petite-Plunge-Front-Metallic-Pleated-Skater-Dress&SearchRedirect=true

rather glam maxi: www.asos.com/asos-petite/asos-petite-slinky-deep-plunge-maxi-dress/prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=5689908&clr=Wine&SearchQuery=ASOS-PETITE-Slinky-Deep-Plunge-Maxi-Dress&SearchRedirect=true

this and this both look to have a nice cut but I'm not convinced about the quality of the fabric with them being so very cheap

not a jumpsuit or plunge but I like it: www.asos.com/ASOS-Petite/ASOS-PETITE-Structured-Double-Layer-Pencil-Dress-in-Stripe/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=6549293&cid=4177&Rf900=1465,1501,1646&Rf-300=1878&Rf-800=-1,60&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=204&sort=-1&clr=Multi&totalstyles=247&gridsize=4
same cut in bright pink: www.asos.com/ASOS-Petite/ASOS-PETITE-Double-Layer-Dress/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=6362107&cid=4177&Rf900=1465,1501,1646&Rf-300=1878&Rf-800=-1,60&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=204&sort=-1&clr=Pink&totalstyles=247&gridsize=4

strapless jumpsuit in red or black: www.asos.com/ASOS-Petite/ASOS-PETITE-Jersey-Jumpsuit-with-Angular-Bandeau/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=6262032&cid=4177&Rf900=1465,1501,1646&Rf-300=1878&Rf-800=-1,60&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=204&sort=-1&clr=Red&totalstyles=247&gridsize=4

glam black jumpsuit with lace, chest covered: www.asos.com/John-Zack-Petite/John-Zack-Petite-Lace-Sleeve-And-Back-Detail-Jumpsuit/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=6273730&cid=4177&Rf900=1465,1501,1646&Rf-300=1878&Rf-800=-1,60&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=204&sort=-1&clr=Black&totalstyles=247&gridsize=4

highnecked LBD with sleeves (also in red): www.asos.com/ASOS-Petite/ASOS-PETITE-Mini-Dress-with-High-Neck/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=5941759&cid=4177&Rf900=1465,1501,1646&Rf-300=1878&Rf-800=-1,60&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=204&sort=-1&clr=Red&totalstyles=247&gridsize=4

simple but lovely navy jumpsuit: www.asos.com/True-Decadence-Petite/True-Decadence-Petite-Twist-Neck-Jumpsuit/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=6030857&cid=4177&Rf900=1465,1501,1646&Rf-300=1878&Rf-800=-1,60&sh=0&pge=1&pgesize=204&sort=-1&clr=Navy&totalstyles=247&gridsize=4

very nice red dress with sleeves: www.asos.com/ASOS-Petite/ASOS-PETITE-Plunge-Neck-Kimono-Sleeve-Dress/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=5880178&cid=4177&Rf900=1465,1501,1646&Rf-300=1878&Rf-800=-1,60&sh=0&pge=1&pgesize=204&sort=-1&clr=Red&totalstyles=247&gridsize=4

Jumpsuit, nice in both colours

But, I think I like that first jumpsuit from earlier best!

vanillabeauty · 29/04/2016 20:48

Gosh thank you so much, I am going to order a few to try :) I will post pictures during the 'lack of rack attack' I will have 😳
