Best budget mascaras?

Okay, love Lancome Hypnose but can't help thinking £25 ish every 3 months is way too much for mascara.

I've got sparse fair lashes and need 3-4 coats to even look as if I have any lashes.

So what do you lot suggest?

This is what I've tried so far

The Falsies - builds ok but brittle and terrible to remove
Max Factor maxi-something- not impressed at all
Maybelline (pink tube) - hard brittle lashes
Bourjois Push up (recommended by Sali Hughes) builds well, but -the neck of the tube is wide , the mascara comes out all over the threads of the tube and my hands, make up bag etc , when you push the brush back in and close the tube up. Seems to flake during the day.

I need volume, no clumping, no hard spidery eyelashes.....

I like L'oreal telescopic in very black it's about a tenner

L'oreal mascaras are fantastic - I've tried Volume Million, Miss Manga and Telescopic and loved and repurchased them all.

Also having success at the moment with Rimmel 3D Effect

I've just bought one of the Aldi ones - it's brilliant!
