Which shampoo do you use and why?

I've used Herbal Essences bee strong shampoo for ages and it's the only one that keeps it in good condition throughout the winter and stops static. Half fancy as change though, so wondered what everyone else uses and why.

Carino Tea Tree shampoo and conditioner both 55p each. Well worth the money. Hair very shiny and soft. I bought shampoo and conditioner from Lush costing me £32. Don't believe the old. You get what you pay for chestnut either. It was rubbish.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 27/04/2016 13:33

Oh I meant to say . It's from Aldi.

NattyGolfJerkin · 27/04/2016 13:43

L'Oreal EverRiche, in the gold tube. I use it because it's sulphate & silicone free so it doesn't irritate my scalp and it leaves my hair soft and clean but not stripped.

RumAppleGinger · 27/04/2016 13:43

Faith in Nature coconut shampoo & conditioner. I'd read a couple of things about sulphate free shampoos and at the time my hair looked pretty shit so thought it was worth a try. I love it. My hair now looks twice as thick and it's so much shinier.

StrawberryandCreamPips · 27/04/2016 13:44

Lush Curly Wurly because I've got natural frizzy curls and it keeps them in check a little. Smells gorge too.

lowcrabdiet · 27/04/2016 14:10

Fudge Ultra Violet shampoo as I'm on a never ending quest to have silvery white hair. Then Aveda damage repair conditioner. Once a week I put coconut oil on overnight.

FartyMcFartpants · 27/04/2016 14:12

Faith in Nature lavender and geranium. Recently tried coconut one but didn't suit my hair - good for my boys though.
I don't like all the nasties in most shampoos - sulphites, silicones, etc - and this one suits my hair.

Tigerblue · 27/04/2016 14:34

We use (DD and me!) Herbal Essences beautiful ends and bee strong as it keeps our long hair well conditioned, shiny and easy to look after. DD often gets compliments on her hair. Mine has been okay until recently, but looks dull whether it's clean or dirty - I suspect this is partly my age (40s) and the fact I haven't been very well,. Tried Faith in Nature shampoo and it looks even worse, so following your thread with interest.

I've been using this new shampoo from Boots for the last few weeks, love it! Best shampoo I've ever used. Stops frizz and leaves my hair feeling clean and shiny.

Revlon uniq one (the coconut scent) as you don't need to condition with it so saves time!
It doesn't weight hair down & gets rid of frizz.
Takes a bit of time getting used to the lather of it but so good.

Love it!

OnePlanOnHouzz · 27/04/2016 19:59

Eat I really think it is.

Haven't tried the leave in conditioner but love the coconut smell of the shampoo.
You only need to use a small amount so lasts awhile.

I don't work for them honest! Just rarely find a product that I'm completely happy with.

I'm currently using Loreal Elvive Smooth and Polish... it was 29p a bottle in Superdrug a few months ago (think it was end of line) so I filled my basket Grin

Archer26 · 27/04/2016 20:24

Vosene. Have done since I was 15. It's the only shampoo that I feel works for my hair. I wash every three days and it leaves it shiny and manageable. If I have to use a different one I notice immediately and it really bothers me.

. Often get compliments on my hair totally a stealth boast, I'm super vain about my hair Grin

I also use asdas bog standard conditioner. Find other conditioners leave my hair dull and heavy with product.

Plonkysaurus · 27/04/2016 20:28

Body Shop banana stuff. Smells so good, doesn't seem to build up and good for my rope like mop.

shash1982 · 27/04/2016 20:29

I'm going to be trying the leave in conditioner now!
Will smell like one big coconut!

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 27/04/2016 20:30

Ecover washing up liquid because it's dirt cheap, sorts out the grease and leaves my hair extremely shiny and doesn't make my head itch.

Trills · 27/04/2016 20:31

Body shop ginger (anti dandruff).

Blah blah silicone blah blah SLS etc.

SwingingFromTheChanderlier · 27/04/2016 20:33

Second any of the Carino products in Aldi. Really good stuff while saving £££, happy days Grin

Palomb · 27/04/2016 20:33

I buy a shit load of Timoti Brun when I go to France every year and use that. It's brilliant for my hair. Unfortunately I have just used my last bottle so I'm on to herbal essences.

I alternate between herbal essence and l'occitane verbena.
