went for a consultation, and she did it! Probably a good thing because i may not have gone back for it. Was terrified and now walking like a robot since i am convinved something drastic is going to happen. Said no results for a few days. Was not too bad and felt like i deserved a lollipop after Grin

I honestly hope you are happy with the results.
It's not something I have ever wanted to do, so out of interest- what motivated you to do it? (Sounds a dumb question but I'm genuinely interested in your motivation.)

Incidentally, isn't there some code of practice (rule?) whereby you should have a cooling-off period before the professional therapist treats you?

Humphriescushion · 25/04/2016 19:17

My motivation? Because i wanted to try it at least once.
Am i happy with the results? Dont know, wont see any difference for few days.
If I am not happy then I simply wont have it again.
Not sure about the cooling off period but i am not in uk.

Love your motivation!! I wish more people had that attitude Grin
Best wishes for the results.

I have had botox in Germany, Switzerland & Republic of Ireland. In the first 2 countries you can only be treated by a qualified medical doctor. Excellent results, very experienced practitioners. Expect to wait up to 3 weeks before you see any results, though. If done properly, you should just look very well rested & still have facial mobility.
Hope it turns out well!

Humphriescushion · 25/04/2016 19:54

Oh hope so pedant, that would be great.

Watching with interest - please report back
I keep saying I'm going to do it and then keep putting it off

You will love it and there will be no going back.

Mine kicks in at about day 4.

Be prepared for everyone to start commenting on how good your skin looks!

Wellhellothere1 · 25/04/2016 22:28

Did the clinic recommend going back in around two weeks for a check and top up if needed? If so I would recommend doing this as the top up makes it last much longer.
I'm sure you'll be happy with the results. I love it and wish I could afford to get it more often. As others have said-I feel it makes me look more rested rather than 'frozen'.

Humphriescushion · 26/04/2016 07:14

Yes they did Well, I have an appointment for two weeks. glad to hear you look more rested rather than frozen that is what i am hoping for.

How's things, OP?

ImBrian · 29/04/2016 07:08

I'm getting mine done in a week Grin. Did you get the full whack or the 'baby' Botox?

Aquamarine70 · 29/04/2016 13:35

I had mine done for the 2nd time on Weds. I had between eyebrows & forehead. I love it.

I am not in the UK either. I had a consult with the doctor & a registered nurse did the Botox at the same appt.

I can go back for a top up in a few weeks.

I am 46 & a beauty therapist & still want to look younger.
