Best strapless bra for a 32FF

Just that really. I wear Panache Tango on a day to day basis but I need a bra to go under a one shouldered bridesmaid dress. I need to buy online ideally as don't have masses of time to go to Bravissimo to try on. I also have a mid sized M&S and Debenhams close that I could go to. And I'd really love it to cost as little as possible as it will most likely only be worn once. Any suggestions gratefully received, I am late 30s with 2 dc, it has been a LONG time since I wore a strapless bra!

Wonderbra Ultimate. You might need to go up in back size, it's very tight. Check eBay for bargains.

There is a panache strapless bra. Look on eBay - there are loads of BN bras for half the price of bravissimo etc

I'm the same size OP and have a Wonderbra multiway bra, which can go strapless or single strap - useful for a bit of extra support with a one shoulder dress. But it was pricey I'm afraid (less than £30 as I recall).

Christ, all day and night? Do you plan to dance? I'm the same size. Debenhams. Loads of bras bad try them on.

Other option is to add a halter neck to to the dress? Or thin straps you can sew a bra into? Just a few stitches to stop it falling. And wear a bra with clear straps? I do advise taking a dress for evening just in case.

Wonder bra ultimate is brilliant in my experience! I've jumped on a trampoline wearing it and no slipping at all

The bride had a notion for backless at one point lavenderhoney The dress is quite boned so there is support there unlike a previous bridesmaid dress which was halterneck and backless fml. I was younger then but it was an uncomfortable day.

Thanks for eBay tips I am randomly able to try a Wonderbra Ultimate on today so I will do that. They just look so weird and uncomfortable though!

The wonderbra is excellent but try on a few sizes around your normal as it fits differently depending on breast shape - I find it big in the cup and small in the band

So I tried a 34E in the Wonderbra, it was pretty awful if I'm honest, incredibly tight round the back and massive in the cup while pushing my boobs together. Do I need to go up another back size and reduce the cup even further?! The Debenhams I was in didn't seem to have a great range of sizes.

I've heard good stuff about the curvy Kate one, it goes up to a JJ/K I think so pretty well engineered

They did advise me you may need to go down a back size/up a cup size with strapless to stop therm falling down. I didn't do this as it nearly cut me in half. Think I have the panache strapless. The general problem with strapless is that moulded cups are never the right shape so need to manhandle bosoms into each and readjust every so often. Hope the dress gives you some support.

This might sound obvious but I'm wondering if you had the positioning wrong on the wonderbra. It sits lower around your body than normal bras which could explain the back and cup issues.

I have the Curvy Kate too but I don't think it's that great - I'm slightly sized out of the wonderbra though at the moment so little choice. There's also the Freya Deco strapless

The back seemed pretty low to me but I did adjust the front up so maybe that was part of the problem. I am willing to try again, particularly as I've seen what you can get them for on ebay.

Thanks for the pointers soconfused I'm not sure I could go down a back size either! Are the curvy Kate and panache ones also padded? Ideally I think I'd like a non padded or molded one.

I don't know why I have all these ideals when I know that buying a bigger bra is almost always both a) difficult and b) expensive

Not sure Op whether you looked at the right size in the wonderbra. I am a 30G and have the new strapless, which is not adjustable on front only on the back and it is by far the only good strapless i have had. Felt strange at first but it is brilliant. It is low at the front but trust me it works. I have tried every brand and the others curvy kTe, freya were rubbish for my size.

You will need padded or moulded to get enough support in a strapless - non padded just don't have the rigidity in the cups when they're not held up. They do get made occasionally but they're invariably useless.

I have curvy Kate one, I think it is in 32GG. It is a bit uncomfy, the underwiring tends to stick into my side and the shape of my boobs is a bit weird and pointy/ wiring shaped, but it is a lot better than nothing!

If you wear Tango then you're most likely to find the Panache Evie works, although I'd advise trying a 32FF and a 32G. The Curvy Kate one is much narrower and is likely to squish you in at the sides whilst simultaneously being too high at the top.

I'm the same size and have a debenhams ,gorgeous range one ,comfiest I've ever worn ,it's moulded .

statistically thanks for that info, that's obviously been where I've gone wrong in the past! I've never ever worn padded/molded so when it fits should it feel as firm as my normal bra? Or a bit more jiggly?

I've got the Freya one, it's amazing. Never slips down. I've just bought my second one actually as I accidentally dyed the first one blue. I wear it most days.

I've got the Wonderbra ultimate strapless, I'm a 30e but think I had to go up a back size. It was ok, my boobs aren't huge but they've seen better days (mid 40's and ex breast feeder) . Pretty good I thought.
