I have hair just below shoulders & as I've got older the condition has got worse, it's fine but lots of it, I'm never going to have swishy hair, it's needs blow drying too or it's a frizz ball
I can't go short (though I'd so love to) because I have a round face & it wouldn't suit me. I've had short bobs which were too severe & didn't suit me.
How about this type of style below? Is it a bit jane Fonda/Meg Ryan? Does that matter? I'm in my 40s after all! It's kind of short but not pixie, it's still longish.

its nice - the top one, but the second one is too short around the face for me

IWannaHoldYourHand · 22/04/2016 21:42

News reader hair?

FluffyBunny1234 · 22/04/2016 22:00

Ha yeah, is that bad though?
The first one is obviously a model, would that look good on a 'normal' person

It's the Natasha Kaplinsky hairdo! I think it's described as a short textured bob.

JaneJeffer · 22/04/2016 22:49

What about this style? It's less choppy.

It's a bit dated? What does your hair look like now?

FluffyBunny1234 · 23/04/2016 07:33

It's long layers, wavy, thick, takes an age to dry. I wanna chop it off!! Won't suit me though...
Yes I think it's dated too...but then I'm dated! I'm not looking for a young hip hairdo
Perhaps I should get that wig try it out Grin

A short shag.

Greengardenpixie · 23/04/2016 09:27

The second one is a bit dated. I had that kind of haircut about 10 or even more years ago!!!! Fashion does come back. I do like the first one but dislike the second.

Vixxfacee · 23/04/2016 09:28

Frumpy 90s American mum.

Greengardenpixie · 23/04/2016 09:46

Youve nailed it vixxface :)

CreviceImp · 23/04/2016 10:15

So is it a touch of the Anthea Turner you are after?

CreviceImp · 23/04/2016 10:17

Watching with interest as I'm stuck in a similar rut. Love Marion Cotillard?'s hair above.

Fairylea · 24/04/2016 15:05

Very dated sorry. You want a short choppy bob, have a scroll through google images. To keep it modern you need the front layers to be longer than the top and back.

FluffyBunny1234 · 25/04/2016 21:02

Hm choppy bob or long pixie ?

I'm not cool enough to pull off that though I don't think. Plus there the fat face...

I think the long pixie is one of those styles that looks like you've rolled out of bed looking like that but in reality has taken a lot of effort.
