Trousers for a wedding

Anyone got any ideas for trousers to wear at an early summer wedding? I am also looking at dresses but would prefer trousers.

I am an Autumn, slightly pear shaped and around 5 foot 5 but shortish legs.

I dont do very pale colours because I am very messy.

How about a 7/8 length slim leg trouser like a cigarette style? There's loads about. Perhaps navy or grey, if you don't want a light colour. Black would be fine too if you had the right top. Floral is also popular at the moment.

ASOS have some gorgeous tailored dusky pink trousers, both in a full length and 7/8s.

Would look gorgeous with a lacy creamy/nude top.

I did buy a sort, cream, crochet, kind of poncho top, that would go well with dusky pink.

Oh I'm thinking about doing this. Will be taking 6mo DS and not sure I can be bothered with the faff of a dress. I was thinking wide-legged navy trousers and some kind of Bardot top (as am bf) but your tapered trousers look lovely!

Trousers or skirt and top are a good idea if breastfeeding :) i once made the mistake of wearing a dress to a wedding whilst breastfeeding a 3 month old. I spent most of the time the toilet with a dress half undone.
