Very supportive sporty swimsuit

I'm looking for a swimming costume to do lengths and water aerobics etc in. My boobs are massive so I need a very supportive suit. I'm wanting a sporty one. Can anyone help me find one pleas?

This may not be helpful but I order Speedos but from the USA website. They are different to the UK ones and much more supportive. Problem is last time I checked you can only use an American credit card and have an American delivery address. My sister lives in Boston so she sorts it out for me.

leedy · 21/04/2016 13:39

Really, I didn't know the US ones were different? I usually wear Speedo suits for lap swimming, but I'm not particularly huge of nork so find them supportive enough.

Just looking at the US site, yes, they're a different range of suits. Mad.

Clarkgriswoldforever · 21/04/2016 14:09

Actually leedy that costume could be perfect I'll have a proper look at it thank you Smile

Choughed I'll have a wee nosey at speedo US. I've got family visiting there very soon so maybe they could do some shopping for me. 👍

I've just bought the Speedo sculpt watergem. Has nice big adjustable straps but looks really stylish.

It's kept my bazookas under wraps so far.

Clarkgriswoldforever · 21/04/2016 15:52

Only That looks lovely but I'm unsure of unwired. My bust is big for my frame so I'm always unsure of what size to get. It's a really good price though.

non wired Sorry brain freeze

Are you sure of your bra size as per the MN bra intervention threads? Or as described here: thebetterbracampaign.blogspot.co.uk/ If you post your measurements, one of the MN bra gurus will help! (I am not one of the gurus but will help if I can!)

I would then look at somewhere like Bravissimo for cup-sized swimwear - not a massive choice, but they do have some good sporty ones. I've had very good Speedo and Panache ones from them.

NameChange30 · 21/04/2016 17:15

There was a very similar thread on this recently:
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/style_and_beauty/2598053-Sporty-swimsuit-for-28G
I stand by my recommendation on that thread. I prefer a non-wired swimsuit for actual swimming (and find it very supportive).

leedy · 21/04/2016 17:15

Slight aside to Clark's thread, but how does sizing work in cup-sized one pieces?

I buy cup-sized bikinis and tankinis fairly regularly but am afeared of buying a cup-sized suit as I have a relatively small back but a very long torso (I've ended up going up two sizes in Speedo to get something that doesn't dig in at the shoulders) and, frankly, a big arse. I have visions of something that flatters my boobs wonderfully but gives me a titanic wedgie below...

bluebiro · 21/04/2016 17:20

leedy I think you just have to experiment a bit with different makes and maybe try sizes around your usual bra size to see what fits best!

NameChange30 · 21/04/2016 17:20

I don't know leedy - I wondered the same. I supposed they go by the average torso length for your bra size... Luckily swimsuits have a lot of elasticity so that must help!

My bra size swimsuit fits fine length-wise. I'm 5'8 and have an average torso length for my height (I think).

Clarkgriswoldforever · 21/04/2016 18:16

I'm 34 underband and 44 round boobs. I'm wearing a 34G but I think all my bras are shit. I used to only wear Freya and panache but I've been on a budget and buying at marksys. I now don't know whether I should but underwired or not.

Only1scoop · 21/04/2016 20:09

Star ....me too. An absolute bargain. I saw them at my gym for 35.00.

Love a half price deal Smile

StarSpotter · 21/04/2016 20:36

I've got three!!

Only1scoop · 21/04/2016 21:04

I'm going to go and get another colour now!!

And a smaller size, for when all the swimming pays off Wink

5BlueHydrangea · 21/04/2016 21:12

Are they suitable (the water gem) if you are a bit big all over?? Or just boobs?!

Only1scoop · 21/04/2016 21:17

I'm a bit big all over and I've sized up one size in the watergem. It fits perfectly.

They kind of give you a nice shape even if you are trying to hide a few pounds.... Blush

Gingefringe · 21/04/2016 21:19

I have this one from Bravissimo. I'm 36F and it's a great fit. They do have a great selection.

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 21/04/2016 21:31

What's a swim bra?

StarSpotter · 21/04/2016 21:38

My friend is a size 20 and wears one of that's any help.

5BlueHydrangea · 21/04/2016 21:44

That's good thanks. I am an 18/20 too. Much as I would like not to be!

Only1scoop · 21/04/2016 21:48
