styling spray/ lotion for straight, thick hair

Could anyone recommend a styling spray or lotion that will make my hair stay in place after I blow dry or curl it?

I've got collar bone length hair which is silky, heavy and more or less straight (although it looks messy and straggly if I don't blow dry it). It doesn't hold styles very well - are there any products that can help without weighing down my hair or changing the texture? Anything that speeds up the drying process would be even better.

At the moment I use a heat protector spray or oil, which smell amazing but doesn't help with styling.

I've got similar hair to you but mine is really quite curly if I let it dry naturally.

I actually found that this was really good as a cheap option: www.superdrug.com/3-for-2-on-selected-Tresemme/TRESemme-Keratin-Smooth-7-Day-Heat-Activated-Treatment-120ml/p/888263?gclid=CL_yxPKhmswCFQhuGwodvGIL6w&gclsrc=aw.ds

I also use the 21 benefits blow drying spray from Pureology, it's really good and is organic so a bit more expensive

However really the best thing for setting my hair is hotter hair straighteners (sorry, that's not what you wanted to hear!)

Thanks very much Queenbean, I will try both of those. I have some Pureology products and they're lovely (if a bit expensive...)
