Help - occasion coming up but my eyes have circles AND lines

I don't know what to do with the area around my eyes. I have really dark bags/circles but also have quite a lot of lines lately so when I try to cover the darkness it ends up accentuating the wrinkles - not a good look Hmm

Please can anyone suggest a product or technique? I use a primer before applying foundation but it doesn't make any difference.

I have a big family occasion happening this weekend and I'd really like to not look like an old hag in the photos (am early 40s)

Apply your usual primer - wait 10 minutes for it to set.
Apply your foundation with a sponge or brush (or fingers) in a dabbing motion so it doesn't spread around loads.
The best concealer I have every used is the maybelline Age rewind concealer (can get from boots and super cheap). Apply it in an upside down triangle under your eye and dab it in and blend out with your fingers or sponge. Then set with some powder.
If you want it to stay in place all day use a setting spray as well.

Note if you get a concealer a shade lighter than your foundation then when you apply it in an upside down triangle it not only conceals but brightens your face and adds dimension and "lift"

Thanks so much picklepie1 I don't usually wait more than a minute or two after applying primer so will leave it longer before putting foundation on. And I'll head to Boots at lunchtime Smile

I hope it helps! Also if you really want to avoid the concealer creasing and lines appearing. If you buy a translucent loose powder (not pressed) and dab it under your eyes after your foundation concealer etc, leave it on for five minutes then brush it off again it stops the makeup creasing. Hope it helps! Thanks

Bourjois do a primer in a little pot, it's like polyfilla for your face, great for around the eyes. L'Oreal and Clarins have a similar product but I find the Bourjois to be the best
