Can I justify spending £45 on a t-shirt??

It's this one from J crew, which is frustratingly only $35 in the US. I really like it and have been eyeing it up for a while. But I am struggling to spend that much on what looks like a thin linen tee, similar to Gap or Zara, where they are less than half that price. (I'm answering my own question, aren't I)

Does anyone have it? Is it worth the money?

I only ordered the metallic one today. Will report back when it arrives. I am a UK12 and usually buy a medium, although I have one large which I wear when I want a bit more slouch. Ordered medium in this as will wear it on nights out under a smart blazer with leather skinnies.

They are online , I prefer the cotton ones which are £6 for 2. I buy loads of white ones as I wear them a lot in the summer . I have a messy son so I can't spend that much on a t shirt in case I get something on it . ( very likely )

I've also got some linen t's from next from last year which are still going . Worth a look maybe .

The crew neck version is reduced to £31 and the discount code works on top, making it £24 ish...bargain !

It arrived. (Have mentioned on another thread so Aplogies if you're double reading)

It's very lightweight but I like it and I'm keeping it. Love the metallic sheen. I got a S, I'm a 10 and it's a good fit. Bit of slouch, not too much. Thumbs up. Still think it's overpriced.

I have the olive one. Bought in the US with no sales tax and 20% off weekend (sorry...!)

It's washed well so far, though only twice and seems to hold its shape better than my old JCrew linen ones, perhaps because of the metallic element added to the fibres?

I personally found the gold one too shiny for every day wear and I dont remember any other colours.

I bought the white and the gold one from hush and its pretty see through which is annoying!

Hmm, it is VERY light and I tried it on with a nude bra so if was fine. Anything else and I suspect it would be see-through. Despite its see-throughness, I like it.

Sorry for the million questions but I do like it!!! Tempted to send the hush one back and to order the gunmetal one!!! Also love the mint velvet one but it is very ££

Ok. Finally opened it. The gunmetal is much more sheer than the standard grey linen one. But I think the shine detracts from that IYSWIM. I tried to take a pic but it doesn't come out well in photos. Fine with a nude bra though. Definite keeper for me Smile

You can even see through the hush one with a nude bra. Its so sheer that sideways you can see the outline of your chest!!! Not so much with the gold one but the white one i have to wear a vest under it.
Love the colours of the mint velvet one too. Its just so bloody expensive for what it is. Think i will wait and see if i can get a discount on the mint velvet one. I like the shape better and the colours.

If anyone knows of any please post!!! They seem to be only really expensive ones. Its annoying. What about New look? Do they not have anything similar? Off to google!

You cannot see through the olive JCrew one at all
