Nice but inexpensive SCENTED body lotions

I was given a jar of Laura Mercier Lemon Tart body cream for my birthday nd despite never usually being a fan of scented body lotions I adored it. I do like to smell nice especially as it gets warmer and I get paranoid about sweat Blush and it was nice to have the extra wafting scent as well as perfume.

But I have run out, and can't justify the £££ on getting it again for myself.

It's 8 months until my next birthday too...

Are there any cheaper scented body lotions out there that won't smell cheap and nasty?

I don't partic like the Sanctuary lotion scent (not because it's cheap and nasty, which I don't think it is at all, I just find it quite over-powering) but that kind of price would be much more in my range!

Any other obvious ones? Even up to a tenner for a bottle would be OK, I just really can't justify roughly £40 for the Laura M one... gorgeous though it was.

I like the bodyshop body butters I can still smell them at the end of the day.

oh, yes, that's great advice thank you! I'd forgotten about the good old Body Shop, and they don't smell cheap to me at all. Thank you!

I'm using a Korres body milk at the moment that I wasn't expecting to like as much as I do - lasting scent and a really good moisturiser to boot. I will get more when it's finished, but in a different scent. This one (Santorini Vine) is a bit sweet and fruity for my tastes.

Korres also an old fave of mine that I had forgotten about... Thank you!

Korres fig is always lovely. Ren ones are also lovely but a bit spendy. If you like vanilla, Palmers Cocoa Butter is always a good bet, but a bit overpowering if you don't.

I know you've said you dislike sanctuary but have you tried the pink (damask rose and white lily) one? I'm totally in love with it at the moment. Actually trying to find a perfume that will go with it.

Crabtree and Evelyn do a lot of nice smelling body lotions. I like Summer Hill, though it might be a little floral.

Body Shop do a rose body lotion, Moroccan Rose I think, from memory (mine ran out last week). It was lovely. They also do a rose perfume. It's concentrated, so comes in a tiny round bottle.

Tk Maxx usually have a big selection of perfumed body lotions.

My day to day one is palmers cocoa butter. It does have a strong chocolate smell though.

I had a gorgeous grapefruitty one from Target in Oz that was $6 and on 3 for 2. I was sad when it finished. Hopefully I'll get back to Oz sometime to stock up (and the mucho cheapo but fab BB cream from Priceline).

Korres fig lotion is just like philosykos
And other stories: fig fiction

Champneys body butter in the dark pink tub is divine.

I love Asdas Nspa jasmine body lotion. It's really cheap but everyone comments on how lovely I smell when I can be bothered to slap it on.

Elemis British botanical body creme lasts for ages, but it's a real love or hate scent. I personally love it when it's sank in.

The body butters from The Body Shop are fab! Soap & Glory is another good brand for that.
