Knicker models on M & S

Just been looking for some pants and the pictures where the model is bending forwards just look ridiculous. I looked at pictures where the model is stood straight and can't see why the bending is necessary. Anyone shed any light as it is annoying me ridiculously.

See what you mean. Scrolling down the page my thoughts were not 'oh gosh they are big knickers'. They were 'What is that model in the middle doing'.
The bendy over shots are also heavily photoshopped by the look of it. The photographer was probably being very inspired.
