Argh help IPL crisis

Bought the boots Ipulse smooth skin thing a few years ago. Used it a few times. Brilliant results on bikini line and armpits. Got pg so stopped as per advice.
Ready to use it again now, planning to de-fuzz legs in time for summer.

Need some of the gel to go with it but they didn't have it in store and I've just checked online and can't find it!!!!

Have I wasted £350?

Has anybody ne else got the same device? Can you still get hold of the gel?

They don't make the smooth skin model that needs gel anymore so getting hold of it is likely to get trickier and trickier, there is some on EBay currently though.

Does the gel have an ingredients list? I'm guessing it's just normal IPL transmission gel which you can buy online in bulk, worth checking if it is actually anything special, if it's not it should be easy to buy an alternative.

Thanks that's a good idea about checking ingredients against other transmission gels. It's probably pretty similar isn't it?
I feel wary about buying from eBay as the tubes aren't sealed.
