Pointless curiosity really. I read a thread earlier in which the OP had likened Zara to an upmarket Primark and it set me thinking. I do find staple items in Zara and but I'd say a good 60% of my wardrobe is from Topshop and associated brands. Any one else?

Dresses -oasis
Jeans and tees - gap
Jumpers - Boden

The look I aim for (but don't always achieve sadly) is tomboy chic aka all fairly minimal and simple.
I shop mainly at Gap, & get a few bits at Boden (basics only, none of their crazy patterns)

Uniqulo. About a third of my wardrobe is from there

Lamu · 10/04/2016 21:59

Another J Crew fan here! Most of my every day staples are from there, particularly like their vintage t-shirts and they do the best grey linen t-shirts which keep their shape. Jeans are always J Brand. Also loving Rails shirts at the moment.

Mango, Benetton are my go to places. Some odd wee gems in m and s which always surprises people. Less and less Zara nowadays, it seems to be going through a strange phase.

mathanxiety · 10/04/2016 22:24

American Eagle for jeans. Lovely fit for me, wash well.
Mixed bag for all other items.

OVienna · 10/04/2016 22:52

Boden. 100% every time. ThanksBlush

OVienna · 10/04/2016 22:56

J crew can also be great but far too expensive on the UK )I am originally from the U.S.) I did buy something recently from banana republic on the UK but it was on a good sake and it feels like their prices have 'normalised' a bit.

Talisin · 10/04/2016 23:15

H&M, I can always find something there for not very much. If I'm feeling slightly more flush then Warehouse and Hush.

IHaveBrilloHair · 10/04/2016 23:20

Superdry, I know people sneer but I love their dresses and they fit me really well.

SuckingEggs · 10/04/2016 23:25

Oh, I forgot about Boden. I hate prints but like the plainer or striped stuff and their casuals, like hoodies. Good bags and shoes, too.

FrancesHB · 10/04/2016 23:30

Baukjen (for work/casual/knitwear/accessories)
Hush (casual and occasional work thing)
Gap for jeans (their 1969 jeans fit me perfectly)
Jigsaw esp accessories and tops
M&S Autograph / M&S Collection
All my underwear is Triumph as their Amourette 300 range fits me perfectly

miaowmix · 10/04/2016 23:35

Hush & Kurt Geiger pretty much cover all bases for me

TubbyTabby · 11/04/2016 03:21

Zara is going downhill fast. and mango is gone so dreadfully frumpy.
H&Ms clothes at the moment are horrible too.

Kr1stina · 11/04/2016 04:49

COS is my go to shop, I can always find something I like and they have lots of natural fabrics.

I buy coats , jacket, tops , dresses and knitwear from them.

But not trousers - they sell mostly wide leg trousers which don't work for me as I'm too short . I buy trousers in uniqlo and Zara, which both fit my shape.

AmberNectarine · 11/04/2016 06:40

On the high street - Topshop. Always find stuff in there. Karen Millen also cuts perfectly for my body shape though some of the designs can be a bit much.

Higher end - Helmut Lang and T by Alexander Wang are my go-tos. Usually find things I like in Sandro and Maje too.

LoadsaBlusher · 11/04/2016 07:21

My wardrobe is mostly River Island , ASOS and H & M.

Amberdiamond · 11/04/2016 11:27

Being 6 foot tall I'm limited in where I can shop, Next Tall is my go to as their tops and dresses fit perfectly. Otherwise it's Long Tall Sally and Topshop Tall.
