Tell me your foolproof winged eyeliner hacks please!

I'm going to an event at the end of this month and have a beautiful vintage 50s dress to wear, and will be having a 50s updo for my hair, so I need the eyeliner to go with it! Try as I might though, I can never get both sides the same and it's très annoying!
Anyone have any foolproof way they can share with me so I can master it in time? TIA!

Use a little piece of card or paper and angle it underneath your eye, draw the wing and then connect it to your normal line, hope that makes sense?

Have a look on YouTube, there's lots of tutorials on there, some say to use a spoon to get the right shape.

Ahhhh card or a spoon would probably make sure the wings were the same; then the line bit is a doddle. I'll check out YouTube and see what's there, ta!

I find sellotape helps get the line

smarties doesn't it smudge when you pull off the tape, or wreck your foundation if you wear it?? I'm intrigued!
