Because both have broken on the same day. Sad

Yuck! I prefer ghd for both.

wonkylegs · 03/04/2016 17:35

I love my GHDs which are still going strong but my hairdresser thinks (& I trust his judgement) that now the cloud 9s are better and if you need to replace that they are better than the current crop of GHDs

MadisonMontgomery · 03/04/2016 17:38

Cloud 9's are better than new GHD's. Parlux for hairdryers.

chicaguapa · 03/04/2016 18:21

I had a similar thread and someone suggested getting the GHDs repaired for £25. Which I did and now they're as good as new.

Nettletheelf · 03/04/2016 18:34

My hairdresser reckons that cloud 9 are miles better than GHDs.

noisytoys · 03/04/2016 18:43

I bought some cloud 9 last week they are amazing. My hair is so soft and swishy. The old GHDs left my hair dry and frizzy.

Twinkie1 · 03/04/2016 18:51

GHDs and Parlux

MrsS1990 · 03/04/2016 18:55

I was a ghd user for ten years. I loved them all.

Got cloud 9s for xmas andy hair is healthier shinier and I'm in love with them. I have super curly hair so need to buy good ones!!

missapples · 03/04/2016 18:56

Thanks guys, put a similar post on Facebook and GHDS winning, mainly due to reliability, my currently GHDs have been in service since I was 17, 15 years ago!

Which model of parlux? X

firsttimemum15 · 03/04/2016 19:06

My new GHD are not as good as the old model

MrsS1990 · 03/04/2016 19:26

Have the people saying ghds tried cloud 9s yet?

Indecisivejo · 03/04/2016 19:37

I HATED ghds I sold them! They use cloud 9 in my hairdressers and they are much better!

firsttimemum15 · 03/04/2016 20:54

What's the diff between the cheaper cloud 9s on their website (white etc 99quid and the supposedly original ones 12 quids? )

kaymondo · 03/04/2016 20:59

Not tried cloud9 so can't comment on straighteners but DH bought me a GHD hairdryer and it's excellent. Really powerful, dries really quickly without leaving my hair feeling dry/frizzy.

thisismee · 03/04/2016 21:02

Ghd were the best irons you could buy until they sold the company a few years ago. Cloud 9 are definitely better now .

MustBeThin · 03/04/2016 21:08

Cloud9's and Parlux

Used GHD for years, my second pair were crap from day one always snagging my hair, eventually they didn't seem to reach the full temperature so I decided to buy Cloud9 wide iron and they are amazing, they make my hair silky and swishy and you can change the temperature which is really handy. I don't even have to use the hottest temperature to straighten my hair. They are made by the same people who made the original GHD, will never buy GHD again.

Ponymagic · 03/04/2016 21:41

I just bought the Parlux 385 Powerlite (thanks ladies of MN). Really rate it and my hair looks much better when I dry it. Ordered via Parlux and got free straighteners with it. Haven't used them so have no idea what they're like.

missapples · 03/04/2016 21:52

Mustbethin that's really interesting

I don't know what to do Hmm

Apparently a diva hairdryer from Sally's is as good as the parlux but under £50. Lots of people have rec'd it on another thread. I thought my hairdryer had broken-it's over 20 but the bloomin thing started working again & I feel bad replacing it while it's still doing its job. Maybe when it's my birthday.....

Fevertree · 03/04/2016 22:00

Love my cloud 9's have had them for over 5 years now and still prefer them to my friends' ghds both old and new

missapples · 04/04/2016 14:32

I've gone for the GHDs wide plate and a Parlux 365 seriously skint!

suzannecaravaggio · 04/04/2016 14:51

how can one hair dryer be better, hot air is hot air surely?
ditto straighteners?
