What does a 40 yr old wear to a nightclub please?

Mate has hired a nightclub for a party in a couple of weeks and I'm struggling with what to wear. I'm very casual in a day to day basis. Jeans, t-shirts, trainers and I'm always in black. Not overly comfortable with my body, showing flesh or wearing heel. I'm 5ft 6 and a size 12 Apple. Huge boobs and a bit of a belly, thin arms and legs. Was thinking skinny coated jeans, ankle boots but what top? My friend is going glam. Sequinned body con dress but I'm happy to be underdressed as it were!

Any ideas greatly appreciated!

I think your idea sounds nice, I'm more pear than Apple but wear coated skinnies with a few different tops from Cos that are patterned but a bit see through with a strappy vest underneath. Or a silk shirt, accessorised with black shoe boots or strappy sandals and a clutch. Have fun!

I agree - the jeans sounds good and a very dark silk shirt - because the black will shrink you.

I am also a booby apple. I find one of those spanx type waist things very useful in situations like this - they stop you wobbling all over the place and they look trim under a shirt.
